Many young people are nervous about signing up for language camps, because they feel they need a minimum level of proficiency to take part. As a result, those who could benefit most from participation are often the most likely to self-exclude. The EXPRESSarte Academy is designed as an inclusive, accessible programme of artistic activities,  which allows young people to enjoy and explore their creative side, while simultaneously gaining confidence in another language. Art is an international language, which speaks to everyone. It helps to break down language barriers  and helps people from all over the world understand each other.

The Academy takes its inspiration from the muses of Greek mythology. Every day a different muse
will preside over the camp and lead the activities. Through the exploration of different art forms and working in small groups, participants will prepare for their final task – a performance, presented in front of the group, that includes at least two types of artistic expression.
